I got home from work tonight and the dryer is running, that's funny I think, so I ask why there is laundry being done on a Tuesday. Mom tells me that Elder B. is being transferred tomorrow. Wait! Not Fair! We just had an unscheduled transfer last week. So mom tells me that Elder U. will be getting a brand new missionary tomorrow.
Like I said a while back, the parents of these awesome young men get to have their missionaries for 19 years, give them up for 2 years and then they come back home. For us, we get them for just a few very short months and then we will probably not see them again. Mom was almost in tears when she was telling me. I asked her if she cried and she said "What do you think?" Yeah, she cried.
If Elder B. ever reads this, I want him to know that he will always have a home with us.
I know that the mission president is inspired in what he does and I am sure that this transfer is in the best interest of the people who need to hear Elder B. and for Elder B. himself, but I can't help but be selfish and want him to stay. Of course it was the same when Elder K. left and also when Elder M etc. etc.
May the Lord bless you all. Always remember to pray for our missionaries.
